Adventures in AU Neo-Olympus Legend of the Four The Penalty Game

Strategy Guide
Level 02

Triumvirate

In Level 02, we find our heroines, each in different places, going about thier normal lives. Little do they expect, three metal rings are about to change thier lives (Oooh... Look at the Six Lefts logo).

Two mysterious figures gaze at a crystal ball in a dark room. They seem to be watching one particular girl, but who? It is decided that three peopleare needed, one representing Light, one Night, and one Twiligt. And the blue shadowy figure [Ashiro] is sent off to find these three.
The phrase "Get me the teenagers with attitudes!" is a quote from the original Power Rangers TV series, episode 1. Zordon told Alpha to do the same thing.

An adorable cat-fox-something approaches Ashley with a silver ring in its mouth. Ashley takes the ring which is promptly absorbed into her cell phone, transforming it into a... Digivice(?).
A few references are made here. The cat-fox-critter's general design holds a lot of similarity to Gatomon (from Digimon 01 & 02) the digimon of the digidestined child of light. And like Gatomon, there's metal jewelry on this cat's tail, a silver spiral rather than a gold ring though. And in one last Digimon reference, her silver ring and cel phone turned into a Digivice (you don't know what that is, go watch an episode of Digimon), similarly, in Digimon 04, the kids' digivices are their transformed cell phones.

Not much to note here. Becky is wearing a NASA shirt; the real Becky's hometown of Huntsville, AL is a major center for NASA and DoD contracting and development. She's also sketching one of the chracters (Mainyo) from the real Becky's other webcomic, The Legend of the Four. Her silver ring simply attaches like a headband and won't come off.

Melissa is practicing guitar on a stage somewhere. Her silver ring becomes a choker-necklace.

Later that same day... Atop Samford Hall is our first Youma(Demon/Bad Guy of the Level). She's even got really classic stock dialogue. Our three heroines instinctively run to help, as our mysterious figure says "It's Morphin Time!" (Another original Power Rangers reference.) And our heroines transform.
And now our heroines join in with some more stock dialogue typical of magical girl series, and one comment from Star Trek: TNG ("The line must be drawn here!! This far!! No farther!!"). And we get our first good look at the Level 02 Youma, Buffy (profile provided below). Buffy is quickly defeated as Ashley, er Skytos Hotaru is fast to figure out how one of her weapons work.

Our two mysterious figures are back, one stepping out of the shadow of some trees, and the other sneaking up behind Skytos Hotaru, stopping her mid Sailor Moon quote.
